Unfortunately the phone still had to be factory reset, but that isn't too big an issue these days.Thanks for resolving the issues!Previously:Brought a phone in for simple battery replacement due to a bloated battery After battery replacement finger print sensor stopped working. They said they would replace the finger print sensor, but would take a couple days to get part. After repeated calls for check in, they finally told me they had supplier issues and would take a little longer. It has been about 5 months or so, still no resolution.In addition, during this time, I called and reported that the phone was randomly just turning off. They said we could check when sensor came in.In December I called in to report random shutdowns happening more often. They said the person that handles my brand of phone would not be back in until early January. Now the phone battery is again bloating, and the phone is just in a bootloop.Tried to visit today, but the store was randomly closed. Very frustrating! read less

The young gentleman took my phone, examined it, and then told me it appeared that it was just my screen protector that was damaged, not the phone itself. He was right. 10 minutes later, he had installed a new screen protector, costing me barely $15.This worker could've just installed a new screen protector and made a few extra bucks off me, and I would never have known otherwise. My iPhone7 had fallen off the counter, landed face down, and the screen shattered despite having a tempered glass screen protector. I was super upset thinking I’d have to bring it to an Apple store for repair and that it would cost >$250, which at that point I would consider just purchasing a new phone. However, I really didn’t want to spend that much replacing the screen nor did I want to purchase a new phone at this time. I quickly googled phone repair shops and found Cosmo. I wanted to give them a try after seeing a number of good reviews. I went in right away and it was fairly easy to find on the first floor of the Paseo off of Colorado. The technician of the store was super nice and helpful (unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name). She offered me two options for replacement. One screen costing $80 and the other costing $110 with the latter being of higher quality. I went with the $110 one and she told me it would take 10 minutes. I was surprised bc I expected it to take longer! I gave her my phone to leave her to it and took a stroll around the Paseo. When I came back, it was only another few minutes before she was finished. Just like that it looked brand new! Also, I didn’t realize until I got home, but she placed a new tempered glass screen protector on top without me asking or charging me for it. Not sure if that automatically comes with the $110 screen, but if not, I thought it was incredibly nice and I appreciate it! Overall, great service and a great experience! Cosmo ordered a new screen for me over the phone, took a deposit, and replaced the screen the day the parts arrived. So you really had to only go in to their store once. The second time I broke my screen, they even charged me $10 less because the screen had gone down in price. Although my experiences with them had been entirely pleasant, I sure hope to not have to visit them again any time soon....In regards to the reviewer who ranted about Cosmo refusing to fix her phone after she had opened it herself, there is a big sign on their front desk that says something to this effect: "90-day repair period if phone has not been tampered with" -- which i took to be very clear about not messing with your phone if a problem was found but to take it in. read less

After being sad that I would have to live with a cracked screen, I decided to stop in. They gave me a quote, that while expensive, was still cheaper than a new phone and had to order the parts as they don't keep screens for my model on site (it seems this would've been less of a problem with a Samsung or Apple phone). They gave me an estimate of three business days to get the screen but on a whim, I checked in the following Monday (technically 1 or 2 business days) and they had just received the screen. 45 minutes later, my phone was in almost new working order and it's been fantastic since. I'm very impressed because again, it's a lesser sold model phone and they were polite and courteous through the whole process. read less

After a year of heavy use, my battery would be fully depleted in only a few hours but when the phone was new the battery would last for well over 24 hours. I didn't think much could be done but figured I'd see. The man who helped me was very knowledgeable and attentive. He assured me he could get my battery running like new within 30 minutes by replacing it with a new battery. Within 30 minutes I had my phone back and sure enough, the battery lasted until the next day! It was like I had a new iPhone! It cost $65 and I realize I could have possibly used my insurance plan but considering the hassle, I thought it was worth paying $65 for the instant help. I called around 7:30 pm and saw the times on google and it said they closed at 8. When calling Shawn apologized for the mistake on the times and even offered to a free tempered glass for the mistake. I went in and he diagnosed my phone with touch disease within the first minute of looking at the phone. He was so kind to explain what touch disease was and said he can call a colleague of his that may be able to fix it. He didn't want to open up the phone because he didn't want to damage the phone even more. After looking up touch disease on Apples website I got my money back from the person and bought another phone. A week later I cracked my screen and immediately called Cosmo and got a price estimate. Shawn quickly made an appointment for me and when arriving had all the tools ready for the screen replacement. He fixed my screen and I received a free temper glass screen protector, he also helped my younger brother with his screen and placed a screen protector on my younger sisters phone all with in less than 30 minutes.Even though I didn't get any work done the first time I visited this place, having a great customer experience is what led me to this place the second time I had an issue with my iPhone. Parking was easy--underground free for 90 minutes with validation (which they provide). Sean was in the store and very helpful. He said it looked pretty bad, but everything else was working just fine. Gave me the run through and told me to come back in 15-20 minutes (which is really hard to gauge when you don't have a phone I've realized). There were some shops nearby so I stopped in there, bought a few things and came back to Cosmo.The phone was ready and it looked beautiful! I've had this problem before with my phone and was quoted between $100-$150 for a screen replacement at other stores. We went into Cosmo and were helped by Sean who was extremely friendly and insightful. He examined the phone screen and determined the safest solution would be to replace the screen, which he quoted at $65 but was willing to do it for $50 for us!! Even though we decided to replace the screen through the phones warranty, Sean was nice enough to put adhesive as a temporary fix to keep the phone safe until then, with no charge at all. Would highly recommend this establishment. Never been to a repair shop with such a knowledgeable staff with such reasonable prices. Definitely coming back for all my phone needs in the future. I docked a star because of the pricing - when I asked for a quote on Yelp, they responded that it would be $110 for an after-market screen, which I thought was just the normal thing to do having no experience with screens. When I went in person, they explained that there were actually two options, after market and original at a higher price. Just be aware that to get an iPhone XR screen replaced with the original screen (not a lower quality one), it's actually $140. Also, online they said the screen protector was $5 but in person it was actually $15. It still ended up being a lot cheaper than going to the Apple store, but I do wish the pricing was consistent. read less

The owner takes a personal interest in insuring customer satisfaction, which is rare these days. Cosmo replaced my broken screen in Aug, and it worked like a champ. After I managed to crack it again in July I took it back for another fix. Quick and easy, and I was out in the time it took to get a coffee at the nearby Starbucks. Unfortunately, my battery had expanded to the point that the new screen cracked in a matter of days. Not only did Cosmo help me with repairing the screen once again, they suggested replacing the battery too. I feel like I've got a brand new phone again! At first it seemed alright, since my dad never said anything about it. I later find out that his iPad has been ghosting letters ever since the repair, meaning that random letters will start typing and the keyboard will appear out of nowhere and type. I read online that you could factory reset your iPad and it may help with the ghosting. I have done so and it now doesn't have ghosting but in fact has several dead spots in the middle. I went to the Apple store to diagnose if it's a digitizer problem and they said it's the bad screen repair that is making it like this. Apple can't do anything for me because the screen isn't Apple certified. I don't know how long this warranty lasts since my dad doesn't know where his receipt is, but I wanted to leave this review for others.---------5/21/17 Update: The owner said I could come in and get it assessed free of charge so I took him up on it a few hours later. They honored the warranty even though I lost my receipt and replaced my screen free of charge and now it seems like it's working fine. They couldn't find what was wrong with it originally but a replaced screen seemed to do the trick. read less
